Meet Jesse
From Australian Army to 50% Market Share:
The Story Behind My Showroom
My Showroom isn't a tech startup trying to disrupt an industry.
It's a proven marketing model applied to small business advertising by someone who's already done it at scale.
50% market share doesn't happen by accident.

🎭 Sydney Entertainment Agency — Poster Boy & Junior
Straight out of high school, I began my career with one of Sydney's largest entertainment agencies.
Starting as a poster boy and junior, I learned the business from the ground up and quickly progressed to become an acoustic booker.
- Booked acoustic acts throughout various venues across Sydney
- Built relationships with venues and performers
- Learned the fundamentals of marketing, positioning, and deal-making
This taught me how to match talent with opportunity and create win-win partnerships — skills that would prove invaluable throughout my career.
🎖️ Australian Army (8 Years)
After the entertainment industry, I served 8 years in the Australian Army, where I built discipline, attention to detail, and a commitment to service excellence.
Memorable highlight: I had the honour of cooking for Peter Cosgrove, former Governor-General of Australia.
The Army taught me that excellence isn't accidental — it's the result of systems, discipline, and commitment to quality.
💆 Gold Coast Dial-A-Massage Founder
After leaving the Army, I established Gold Coast's first dial-a-massage business, creating an exclusive, premium service model.
- Serviced over 10,000 high-rise apartments
- Created exclusive, premium positioning in the market
- Built a reputation for quality and reliability
This taught me the power of premium positioning and quality over quantity — lessons that drive My Showroom today.
💻 Computer Antivirus — National Marketing Manager (1990s)
This is where everything changed.
In the 1990s, I was appointed National Marketing Manager for a computer antivirus company. Within 2 years, we achieved 50% national market share.
The Numbers That Matter:
- 26 out of 41 Australian universities (63% of all universities)
- First contract: University of NSW — 25,000 PCs
- Major contracts: 3 state TAFE colleges + all their computers
- ATO Canberra: Approximately 10,000 PCs
- Countless schools and corporations nationwide
The Secret Weapon: Cooperative Purchasing Power
I didn't win 25 university contracts through aggressive sales tactics or price wars.
I showed institutions how pooling their purchasing power benefited everyone:
- Universities got better pricing through volume
- They got quality protection they could trust
- I built 50% market share through mutual benefit
Win-win-win.
Universities don't hand over 25,000-PC contracts to unproven vendors.
The ATO doesn't trust random companies with their national computer security.
I earned those contracts through strategic thinking, cooperative models, and delivering value.
It was during this era in the 1990s, when the internet first emerged, that I conceived the idea for My Showroom. However, the technology of that time wasn't ready to support the vision I had in mind. I held the idea on the back burner, waiting for the right moment...
✍️ International Poet & Writer
A Journey Into Creative Expression
After leaving the computer antivirus business, I pivoted to writing and discovered an unexpected passion for poetry.
International Recognition:
- Nominated 5 consecutive years as World Poet of the Year by the International Library of Poetry
- Received Editor's Top Choice award
- Published worldwide in London, Paris, and New York
Following my poetry success, I focused on legal writing, copywriting, and letter writing — refining the art of persuasive communication and precision with words.
These years taught me how to craft messages that resonate, influence, and inspire action — skills now woven into every aspect of My Showroom.
🚀 My Showroom — The Idea Returns (2026)
Bringing a 1990s Vision to Life
After years focused on writing, I've returned to business to finally manifest the idea I had when the internet first emerged in the 1990s.
The technology of that era couldn't support my vision. But now, decades later, with the right technology, the right timing, and a proven track record of building 50% market share through cooperative models — it's time.
The Perfect Convergence:
- Entertainment industry experience: Understanding talent, venues, and partnerships
- Military discipline: Systems, excellence, and commitment to quality
- Premium positioning: Lessons from building exclusive massage service
- Cooperative purchasing power: Proven model that built 50% market share
- International writing success: Craft of persuasive communication
- Modern technology: Finally capable of supporting the vision
What you see here isn't a startup experiment.
It's a decades-in-the-making vision from someone who's already proven the model works.
The EXACT cooperative model that won 26 universities...
...is now powering My Showroom.

How Cooperative Purchasing Power Works
🤝 The University Model (1990s)
The Challenge: Universities needed quality antivirus protection but individual purchasing was expensive.
The Solution: Pool their purchasing power for mutual benefit.
The Results:
- 26 universities got better pricing through volume
- They got proven quality they could trust
- We achieved 50% market share through reputation and results
- Everyone won — this wasn't zero-sum competition
💼 The My Showroom Model (2026)
The Challenge: Small businesses can't afford $5,000+ for radio advertising alone.
The Solution: Pool marketing power for collective campaigns.
How It Works:
Example: 100 Sydney plumbers want 2GB Radio exposure
- Individual campaign: $5,000+ per business = prohibitively expensive
- Co-op campaign: $5,000 total ÷ 100 businesses = $50 each
- Same exposure, 1% of the cost
Radio spot: "Need a plumber? My Showroom features Sydney's top 20."
If 100 businesses opt in to share the cost. Everyone gets the exposure. This is how I built 50% market share.
